My reaction? This is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. If you enjoyed movies like Big Fish you're gunna' love this show. It's got amazing aesthetics and the dialog is quirky and punchy. The premise, with it's rules, will make for a show that can last a long time.
So go check your schedule now and set your tivo!
Ok, if you know me you understand why I like this show. It makes me feel great about myself. Total self-esteem boost.
I've only watched part of seasons one and two. I missed the third season. The contestants this season seem pretty awesome and should make for some good laughs.
Here's what I'm not happy with -- they brought on a retarded-mutant-of-a-fabio impersonator. He's the single "male" "beauty" with his partner who's the lone female geek. DUMB. Honestly this is why I can never be into a reality shwo for longer than a couple of seasons. Departing too much from the premise RUINS it. Seriousely.
We'll have to see if this dies like my past favorites of Real World, Road Rules, and The Amazing Race.
Holy crow! With last season's cliff-hanger I really got stoked to watch the new season. I was worried it was going to get a bit too much like LOST.
After watching the first episode of this season I must say I'm very glad. There's enough mystery without alienating anyone. Since the title of the show is "Prison Break" it's very much in line to have Michael in prison again and have him trying to break out once more. This also opens up lots of plot possibilities.
Let's hope they don't just drag things on. Letting these characters develop and actually accomplish things would b a breath of fresh air.
After all the recent season and series finales, what are you watching on TV these days?
I've been watching a lot of stuff on Discovery Channel and National Geographic, or PBS stuff. Out of all of that my favorite so far has been Man Vs Wild.
If any of you have seen Survivor man you'll get this show right away. This guy whose name happens to be Bear Grylls is super intense, throwing himself into super-sticky survival situations that you wouldn't think could be lived through. Pretty amazing.
I haven't been a huge die-hard pirates fan. I saw the first movie on DVD well after it came out. I enjoyed it. I just recently saw the 2nd and felt the same. This third one, however, blew me out of the water!
Some have complained about the length of the movie. I feel it was justified in providing maximum arc. All the loose ends from the last film needed to be tied up and I'm glad they took their time. It didn't seem there was any unnecessary action scenes, which usually happens.
I will also have to say the ending was a good one. I don't want to spoil anything so I won't mention much, but it really goes well with the overall theme.
Anyhow, I'd definitely recommend this to anybody.
Ok, call it what you want, but this was amazing. Yes, I do realize it's pretty much a big-boy soap opera, but I honestly don't care. The words, "it's a date" made the episode.
Awesome.
People floating in sumo suits is reason #345,673,525 why I love this show.
"You don’t go to the science museum and get handed a pamphlet on electricity. You go to the science museum and you put your hand on a metal ball. Your hair sticks up straight. And you know science." -Michael Scott
This episode was non-stop funny for me. Perfect episode.
